All India Women’s conference Jogeshwari Branch

Jogeshwari Constituent Branch of AIWC MBCC was established in August 1971 by our founder members Smt. Usha Desai and Smt. Tara Nathani. Since last 4 decades Jogeshwari Branch is giving Human services to the nearby society in general and to women & children in particular. Jogeshwari Branch has many regular activities & occasional activities.

Our Regular Activities which are conducted at Jogeshwari (E) on the above address are as follows:-

Educational (Charitable)


Ba Narmada Shishuvihar- Gujarati Balmandir (since 1971) Our Little Corner - English Balmandir (since 1989).

About 75 children in the age group 2 to 5 years are enrolled. Half Yearly Health check-up camps are organized for students. Free ships, free books & Uniforms are also given to needy students. Encouragement awards in form of cash are given to children of members securing distinction in S.S.C every year.

Medical Charitable Swasthya Kendra (Medical Centre)

Medical facilities are provided at nominal & affordable charges in 8 Medical Centers, which are as follows:-

1. Homeopathy Clinic 2. Speech Therapy Centre 3. Audiology Centre 4 .Physiotherapy Centre 5. Dental Clinic 6. Eye Care Centre 7. Yoga Classes (Only for Ladies, free) 8. Acupressure Centre (Free)

Financial assistance is given to needy dumb and deaf patients for purchase of hearing aid and to needy suffering from cataract patients for eye operation. Besides these, various medical health check-up camps are conducted.

Women’s Day : On Women’s Day every year a seminar is held where we recognize & honour successful women, who individually or collectively have contributed towards upliftment of needy people of the society.

Disaster Management Workshop : A disaster management workshop was conducted with the help of Civil Defence Organisation of the Government.

Green and Clean City : Awareness about nature and environment has been a prime initiative by us.

AIWC Jogeshwari Branch was awarded with the ‘AWABAI WADIA AWARD 2009’ of Rs. 30,000/- for the Disaster Management & Green and Clean City Projects.

Continuing with all the above projects, we will be taking new programs as and when required.
