Smt Kesarbai Bhimani Working Women’s Hostel.
       
               
       

Smt. Kesarbai Bhimani working Women’s hostel is one of the four major Projects of Mumbai Branch, A.I.W.C. established in 1970 to provide an affordable and home like accommodation to working women (non-residents of Mumbai) who came to the metropolitan city from various parts of India in search of employment. It is run without discriminating of their caste, creed and religion on no profit no loss basis. The Hostel is situated in a peaceful residential area with convenient bus routes at the above mentioned address.

After the expansion the Hostel has a capacity to accommodate 101 residents in 2/3 seater rooms with basic furniture and fittings. The working women who are within the income limit prescribed by the Dept. of women and child welfare, Govt. of India are eligible to apply for admission. The admission for regular residents is granted initially for one year, subject to renewal every year through fresh application. Maximum period of stay is limited to 3 years.

Hostel charges per month are as follows

  • Residential charges 7.5% of gross Salary./li>
  • Service charges Rs. 2000/- (emoluments).
  • Mess Charges Rs. 1500/- ( includes Morning tea, 1meal dinner)

The Hostel provides only vegetarian food. The common hall is for dinning and recreation which includes T.V., News papers, magazines and periodicals. The other facilities like cooler, refrigerator, electric points for using laptops and charging mobile phones are also given.

The superintendent cum accountant is assisted by two wardens one is resident while other is for part time, who are in charge of the day to day administration and supervision. The over all management of the Hostel is the responsibility of the Hostel Committee. It has a final authority to determine and decide all the matters.

The Hostel Management could provide many facilities to residents and up grade the hostel premises only because of generous donations still this project requires funds for betterment. Your contribution is precious.
